Well, Merrick and I arrived in New York today. Of course, our trip was not drama free. Our flight out of Dallas was cancelled after I checked in, but luckily someone at the gate was able to rebook us on another earlier flight and I got to run through the airport pushing a stroller with bags to get on that flight on time, which I did! I knew that our bags wouldn't make it even though the lady at the gate assured me they would, so now I am at the apartment in New York hoping that they can deliver our two suitcases and car seat tonight so that we have clothes to wear tomorrow!
Within the past few weeks we have been travelling around North America. Burke and I were in Vancouver and Whistler, Merrick and I drove to Minnesota for a week (during the coldest week of the entire year, one morning it was -19F. It was 80F in Dallas when we returned, which was insane. It's not very often that you get a 100 degree temp change within one week. Merrick and I were back in Dallas for four nights, and then were off to New York. We will stay here until February 1st, then back to Dallas for almost two weeks, and then move into the house that we are renting on February 15. This will require another cross country road trip, but this time Burke's mom will join me!
The address of our new place is 19 Palmer, Scarsdale NY. Google Earth gives a good view of the front of the house and the neighborhood it is in. We will be sure to post pictures once we have some. I am going to see the house for the first time tomorrow. I was a little worried about having Burke put an offer on the house without me seeing it first, but it was the best of the options that Burke saw in our price range, and he is pretty impressed with it. I am very excited to see it.
Merrick and I will be making our way around New York City this week. I will keep everyone updated on our progress!
