We are finally getting settled into our new house in NY. Pictures will come soon...as soon as we have some furniture. It is very empty right now and we are once again sleeping on air mattresses. I am so so happy to finally have been in one place for almost two weeks though! I think Merrick is too, even though he only has a handful of his toys and is sleeping in a pack and play again :)
I am trying to get used to living in a new city, state, part of the country, etc! I know where the grocery store and Target are, have joined a gym (which I haven't been to yet...) and are signed up for story time at the library and for a Tumble Bugs class for Merrick next week. Merrick will start 3 year old pre-school in the fall at The Little School in Scarsdale. It is a really nice and highly recommended pre-school in town, so I am very glad that we were able to get him in. He will have school every day from 8:45 am to 1 pm. Until then, we are on our own, and will need to quickly find out all the best things for two year olds to do this spring! Luckily there are an abundance of museums, nature centers, libraries, and play grounds in Westchester so hopefully it won't be too hard. We are meeting some neighbors and there is a family next door with a little girl two weeks younger than Merrick, so hopefully we will have some play dates soon.
Taylor is doing well in Minnesota. She will be visiting us over spring break in April and will be with us for the summer starting in the beginning of June. She will then start school with us in Scarsdale in the fall. Phillip will be with us at the end of March and this summer. It will be so nice to get everyone under the same roof for the summer. We plan to go to Gulf Shores, AL and to go back to Dallas for a couple weeks.
We are anxiously waiting for our furniture to finish making its way across the ocean. It was supposed to be in NY on Feb 17th, and apparently it missed that boat, so it should finally be to us mid-March.
Stay tuned for new pictures soon!
