I am actually getting to the point here that I feel like this could be home...just not forever :) We are more or less settled into our apartment now. We have all of our furniture, TV's are working with satellite (which include English TV channels but of course it doesn't include ABC, NBC, or any other channels with shows I actually want to watch, but it is in English, usually British English, none the less), Taylor is loving school, and Merrick is, well, Merrick. He hasn't had any major milestones lately, but he is still cute as ever and talking up a storm in his own language. Something with a mix of Russian and English.
I have still been really busy with school (endless volunteering opportunities with the PTO), helping a friend out with her business she is starting, and the American Women's Organization. Leave it to my friend Megan and I to start an interest group in the AWO called Pivo, Vino, and Vodka, which translates to Beer, Wine and Vodka...it sound better in Russian. We have a happy hour the second Tuesday of each month at different places in Moscow. I will let you know how it turns out!
Taylor LOVES her school. The best part about it, according to her, is that they have a swimming pool and she gets to swim every Monday. She has Russian lessons twice a week, and already knows a few phrases and how to write her name in Russian letters. She is reading well, and loves the fact that I am at her school so much. I run into her in the hallways and she says "Hi Mama" and keeps going to class. I am usually there all day Monday. I volunteer in the school store Monday mornings and then help the girls in the locker room after their swimming lessons. Taylor is only in 1st grade, and hasn't been in school long, but I am willing to bet there aren't many other schools out there that have the amount of parent involvement that AAS does. I thought her old school had a lot...this out does it tenfold! There are parents at the school all day every day, which is understandable when it is such a social outlet for us.
That's all for now. Hey, has anyone been to Geneva? Is it worth going along with the kids for a long weekend when Burke has to go for work?

I'm so glad things are going well. Thanks for the phone call! Yall just made my day! Geneva would be so cool, I've never been but always wanted to go. Hopefully we can work out a trip together!
Geneva is pretty but I wouldn't say there is a ton to do. I am sure you can find things though. Other cities are just a train ride away so if you got bored in Geneva you could scope out something else for a day trip.
OK this blog thing is pretty cool, Jess having one - some hilarious posts by the way - got me started. I so wish I could see the kids, it sounds like they are doing great. So the second Tuesday huh? I'm sure I could plan a trip around that...
