4th of July Celebration

We went to the 4th of July celebration today (on the 5th), sponsored by the American Chamber of Commerce. After we drove about 40 minutes to get there, AND Burke asked me two times if I had the tickets, of course we arrived, and I didn't have the tickets. GO FIGURE. Our driver had to drive us back to our apartment, another 40 minutes, so I could get them. We finally arrived, almost two hours after we were originally there, and were hungry. SO, we waited in line for a beer and food. ONE AND A HALF HOURS later we were finally eating our food and drinking our beer, just in time too, because I was past my tipping point. Here are some pictures of the event.

And best of all....

UGH!!! What a nightmare! I hate it when I leave things behind...anyway it looks like your 4th (or should I say 5th???) turned out to be a good one...I like how Merrick is picking his nose in the first picture! :)

ah what a rough start to the day, however it looks like everyone had a good time and made the most of it. :) The last picture was the highlight.

hope everything is getting better for you and that you are all slowly adjusting. What a neat adventure and I cannot wait to come over and visit with you.

have a great day!

Love the one of Burke!!

I'm sorry you got off to a rough start! Sounds like in the end you had a nice time but I know all about going past the tipping point...people generally duck and cover here when it happens :-)
