We had Thanksgiving a little late this year, on Saturday. Taylor had school on Thursday and most people had to work so a later Thanksgiving made the most sense. We were able to purchase a turkey from Taylor's school, and have been bringing things back from the states that we have needed in key Thanksgiving recipes that we could not find here. We had 3 other couples over for dinner, and I successfully made my 1st turkey!! (I had made one before, but I didn't consider it very successful. With the help of my friends Megan and Ashleigh, who cheered us on while drinking wine :), I also made my first pie. I made an apple pie (I did the crust and Megan did the filling) and a pumpkin pie. I was so impressed with my lattice work on the apple pie that I just had to take a picture...
