A little bit of catching up to do!

However, not a whole lot has been going on....

I am trying to write more often, but we have fallen into a weekly schedule that doesn't change a whole lot! Taylor is still doing great in school. There is a big Halloween Party tomorrow after school for the elementary school kids. Thank goodness we brought Taylor's costume from last year, and that it still fits her, it is not exactly easy to find a costume here. Soccer has ended and so has the first quarter of school. I can't believe we are already a quarter of the way done and that we have been here for 4 months!

Merrick is now putting together sentences in both Russian and English. English sentences have been happening for a while, but now he is throwing Russian in there! The other morning Merrick went to Burke and said "Mama skazala no no!" meaning, Mama said no no! He even had the past tense verb correct. He is more advanced in Russian than I am! We are thinking about putting him in a tri-lingual pre-school next year. He would have Russian two days a week, English two days a week, and French one day a week, in the mornings for a few hours. I figure why not have him speak french too :)

I have been busy with various women's organizations, school, going to lunches, reading for book club, attempting to learn Russian, and vacation planning. A group of us had lunch today with the US Ambassador's wife to plan the USA table at an International Bazzar in December. It has been very neat working with so many interesting people.

We leave for Germany in 4 DAYS!!! I am so excited! We are meeting Burke's mom in Munich for three nights. Burke will meet us on Wednesday and then we will take a train to Salzburg, Austria for three nights, and then back to Munich for one and home next Sunday. It will be great to get away for a week! Then once we are back we only have about 7 weeks and we finally get to go home!!!!! I will be sure to put up plenty of pictures when we are back!
